The Southern Maine Community Recreation Center (SMCRC), doing business as Gorham Sports Center (formerly known as “YourSpace”), is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization made up of local coaches, parents and small business owners.
The indoor sports facility and property was acquired at auction in 2008 and converted from a for-profit facility to a non-profit. It is not owned by the town of Gorham. The success of the Gorham Sports Center is an ongoing team effort, and we rely on the support of the many people in all of the surrounding communities in order to keep the doors open.
How You Can Help
- Donations of any amount are appreciated and go a long way to help cover the high costs of maintaining the facility.
- Volunteering Opportunities – We rely on volunteers of all ages who generously give their time and energy to the facility. This is also a fantastic opportunity for high school students who need community service hours.
- Business/Organization Sponsorship – We welcome businesses of all sizes to donate their time or expertise, either in full or in part. We also offer banner sponsorship of different sizes in the main field house. Thousands of people pass through the doors of Gorham Sports Center each year.
