Frequently Asked Questions
How early should I plan on arriving at the facility?
For the first event of a given day, our doors will open at least 15 minutes before the scheduled event is set to start. Unless instructed by your coach or group leader to arrive earlier, you may wish to consider arriving no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the start time.
What are you doing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other diseases?
We have increased routine cleaning and disinfecting of touch surfaces. We are disinfecting used equipment, pens and other items, and eliminating hard-to-clean items. We are providing hand sanitizer throughout the facility. We are now offering Apple / Google / touchless pay at the concession stand. It is ultimately up to parents and players to determine whether they are comfortable with themselves or their child returning to play at this time.
What type of cleats can I/my child wear in your facility?
Indoor or outdoor cleats are allowed here, but they must not have metal spikes.
Do you have a lost and found?
Yes. It is on the black rack through the main field house doors and to the left. It is necessary that you retrieve your items in a timely manner as after some time we may donate the unclaimed items.
Do you have a community or meeting room?
We have a meeting room that can accommodate parties and team meetings of up to 20 people (approximately). The room is free to use during occupied hours but must be scheduled ahead of time.
How do I know if a game/event has been cancelled due to road conditions?
We encourage you first to check with your coach, captain or group leader. If the decision is made to close the facility, we will post a message on the homepage of this website and on our Facebook page. You may also reach us by telephone at (207) 839-6767 or by emailing info@gorhamsportscenter.com.
Do you sell food and drinks at your facility?
We carry Pepsi and Gatorade products, juices, hot and iced teas, coffee, hot chocolate, crackers, chips, trail mix, dried fruit, granola bars, and candy daily. We also offer pretzels, nachos, cookies, hot dogs and other hot foods at select times. We also have beer for sale to patrons over age 21 with a valid ID.
Do you allow dogs/cats/pets inside your facility?
Animals are not allowed inside the building, with the exception of certified service animals.
What payment methods do you accept?
Rentals may be paid for with cash, check, Visa, or MasterCard. You may also call in your credit card information to pay over the phone. Booking of the facility in advance may require a deposit. We are now offering Apple / Google / touchless pay at the concession stand.
Who do I pay for league participation?
Please pay your captain, coach or team administrator. They will determine and collect league participation fees from all players or parents of players. Captains/Coaches/Admins must keep track of who has paid and turn in the entire team’s payment to the GSC office.
- Note: Team deposits, made only by the team administrator or captain, must be made via our website with either a Visa or MasterCard at the time of registration in order to secure a spot. The remaining balance may be paid either in cash, check, or credit card. If a team’s full payment is not received before the team’s second game in a session, the team will forfeit the match.
What is the size of your field?
Our entire indoor turf field measures 234′ by 160′ (line to line). The field can also be divided by a net into halves, each measuring 160′ by 115′ (line to line). Full field is recommended for high school events.
If you’re a non-profit, are donations to Gorham Sports Center tax deductible?
Yes! We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization and can provide you with the proper documentation that usually results in a tax deduction for a good, service, or monetary gift.
What is your refund policy?
All sales are final unless otherwise specified in writing by a GSC Manager.
